Izzo Makes It Clear Kaminski Was Dismissed, Did Not Just Choose To Transfer

Originally posted on CBS Detroit:

CBS DETROIT – Michigan State sophomore Kenny Kaminski tweeted Saturday that he would no longer play basketball for the Spartans and planned to transfer, and Monday the Spartans released a statement that explained why Kaminski would not be returning.

“Despite multiple opportunities, Kenny Kaminski could not live up to the obligations necessary to be a part of our program,” Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo said in the statement, according to multiple reports. “Being a Spartan is a special opportunity, and at Michigan State we do everything we can to provide an amazing experience for our student-athletes. With that privilege also comes a responsibility to conduct oneself in a certain manner. After he repeatedly failed to meet the necessary obligations, it became apparent that it was time to dismiss Kenny from the program.”

Kaminski averaged 4.9 points and 1.5 rebounds in 12.2 minutes per game last season, and he shot 49.4 percent from…

Top 5 Reasons Why The Broncos Defense Will Be Better

Originally posted on CBS Denver:

DENVER (CBS4) – The Broncos defense is playing with more of an edge during training camp so far, and the team expects defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio’s squad will put in a better performance than last season.

While the Broncos offense was flying high and breaking NFL records right and left in 2013, the defense was crippled by injuries to several key players and wound up with a team defensive rank of 19.

Here are the top five reasons the Broncos defense will be better this year.

1. T.J. Ward – The Broncos defense took a licking in the Super Bowl, and one observation many Broncos fans had about the game was that the Seahawks just hit harder on defense. With the pickup of safety T.J. Ward in free agency, general manager John Elway showed that he is serious about turning up the nasty factor on this defense. “He’s…

Should The Falcons cut Sam Baker

image

With all the talk about The Falcons taking an Offensive Tackle with the #6 pick. Have the Atlanta Falcons given up on Sam Baker? Baker is under contract for 5 yrs 38 million dollars.

In 2013 Baker struggled mightily with injuries. In fact Baker played in less than a third of the offensive snaps in the first four games played. Lets face it, with the Falcons eyeing and working out several Offensive Tackles. Sam Baker has no choice but to put or get Fired. If for whatever reason Baker doesnt play well or gets injured. The Falcons may decide to cut ties with him. They’d be responsible for about 9 million, which 7.3 million cap space hit in 2015..

I like Sam Baker (when healthy),  but it was a huge risk giving him that much money. It was the worst move they’ve made since drafting Peria Jerry in the 1st round (My opinion). The Flacons should draft Greg Robinson of Auburn or Jake Mathews of Texas AM and move on. Baker is injury prone and as an Offensive Tackle you can’t be injured.. You’re responsible for protecting the QB. With Matt Ryan’s new 100 million dollar contract.. Keeping him upright is a must.

What is your opinion? Should the Falcons cut Sam Baker?

Jadeveon Clowney lazy?

image

An NFL anonymous source has been quoted of saying “Jadeveon Clowney is spoiled, lazy and has never worked a day in his life. Suddenly teams want to just hand over millions of dollars to him.

Every since Jadeveon Clowney was rated as the top prospect in the upcoming 2014 draft. There has been tons of scrutiny. Some critize him for taking plays off. Taking himself out of a game to protect himself from further injury.

This time of year anonymous sources popup all around the league to scare other possible suitors interested  in drafting top prospects.

The question I ask of you. Should teams be legitimately worried about drafting Jadeveon Clowney?

My Opinion: This is nothing more than a ploy to scare away teams that are interested in drafting Clowney. He’s a remarkable talent and I think you’d be crazy to pass on him. Pass rushers are a hard find and you simply cannot pass on them.

DDP on Nancy Grace’s statement

“WWE News: DDP Comments On Nancy Grace Appearance, Smith Hart Outraged http://t.co/DJfYYXEwxW”

Nancy Grace is obviously a controversial idiot. But nothing is more disgusting than insinuating that someone died from steroids after dropping dead of a heart attack (Ultimate Warrior). I’d love to see her lose her job for this.. Its absolutely disgusting and tasteless.

What’s your opinion?
